About Howard Woodie McDuffie

Howard Woodie McDuffie has spent more than three decades developing his expertise in transloading facilities, tank container operation, ethanol logistics, and liquid bulk transportation. A graduate of Mississippi College, he has a wealth of experience in business development, customer relations, and global partnerships. Since 2006, Howard Woodie McDuffie has served as Vice President of KAG Logistics, the logistics branch of the industry-leading Kenan Advantage Group. The North Canton, Ohio-based company specializes in liquid bulk transportation, focusing on petroleum, specialty products, and renewable fuels. Over the past six years, he has developed ethanol transloading operations for the company in six locations across the United States.

Prior to joining KAG Logistics, Howard McDuffie spent nearly three decades working in varioius capacities for Miller Transporters, Inc., a Mississippi-based logistics and transportation firm. His many accomplishments during this time include creating the company’s first telemarketing department and managing its central dispatch office. He also founded and functioned as President of Miller Intermodal Logistics Services (MILS), the firm’s affiliated logistics company.

During Mr. McDuffie’s nearly decade-long stint with MILS, the firm grew to more than $10 million in revenue, eventually ranking as the third-largest tank container operator for Eastman Chemical. He also directed the construction of a tank container repair depot during this time, an accomplishment which earned national recognition and a write-up in Modern Bulk magazine. During the early 2000s, economic conditions deteriorated for tank container operators around the country. Sensing this trend, Mr. McDuffie spearheaded a successful transition from operation to leasing. The move proved effective, providing the company with a profitable source of revenue to the present day.

In addition to his work in the logistics industry, Howard Woodie McDuffie devotes himself to the community, supporting charities and nonprofit organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and Boy Scouts of America.
